Nestadu did a great job on my backyard ADU. Their team was professional, and the final result looks fantastic—well-built and blends in nicely with my home. Pricing was clear, and there were no surprise costs, which I really appreciated. I’ve already rented it out, and my tenant is really happy with the space. The process took a little longer than expected due to permits, but Nestadu kept me updated along the way. Overall, I’d definitely recommend them if you’re considering an ADU!

One of the talents of the NestADU team that I appreciated the most was their ability to LISTEN! I wanted to create a custom 850 sq.ft. ADU on my property next to my house and we had to deal with a narrow site with a steep sloping back yard, so this wasn’t any place for a drop-ship prefab. Everything had to be custom-designed for my aging grandmother. Bret and John were able to take my thoughts and my Grandmother’s preferences and turn them into a very detailed, creative solution that met our requirements and create a set of drawings that got us our permit on our first submittal!

My wife and I have been married for 60 years and were looking to build an ADU on our son’s property in central California. I have cancer and was looking to provide a home where my wife would be comfortable in the event that she would have to go on without me. We needed to find a contractor who we could trust to put together a complete package, would be responsive, offer custom options to fit our needs, and be sensitive to our family dynamics since it involved my son. We talked to several contractors, and found the process to be overwhelming. Finally, we contacted John Westcott, COO of Nestadu. We met him on a zoom call and he was very warm. understanding, clear, and professional. Later he and the CEO, Bret Ashworth, showed us an ADU that they had built on a lot in Novato, and came out to our site to verify its suitability. All this was done in a week! We had problems with the site but we would definitely use Nestadu when it comes to building an ADU.
