How 1-800-ADU-Pros collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you request an introduction to a vetted ADU builder.
Last updated: June 2026
1-800-ADU-Pros (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates a vetted directory and referral service that introduces Los Angeles–area homeowners to independent, California-licensed accessory dwelling unit (ADU) builders. We are a referral and pre-qualification service — not a contractor. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through this website and our intake form, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to 1800adupros.com and the lead intake we operate on it.
The information we collect comes mainly from you, when you complete our “Request an Intro” qualifier form. That includes:
We also automatically collect limited technical and usage data when you browse the site — such as your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring URL, and similar analytics, collected through cookies and tracking technologies (see Sections 5 and 7). We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and the site is intended for property owners and decision-makers.
We use the information you provide to:
We are a referral service, so sharing your information with builders is the core of what we do. Specifically, we share information in these ways:
We do not sell your information for money. However, sharing data with advertising partners and with the builders we introduce you to may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” under California law — see Section 9 for how to opt out.
We advertise our service on platforms including Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google. To measure and improve those ads, our site uses tracking technologies such as the Meta Pixel and Conversions API (CAPI) and Google's advertising and analytics tags. These tools may collect identifiers (such as a hashed email or phone number, IP address, and cookie or device IDs) and information about your activity on our site — including when you submit the form — and send it to those platforms so we can measure conversions, understand performance, and show relevant ads. This may allow those platforms to associate your visit with your account on their services. You can manage ad personalization in your Meta and Google ad settings, and through the cookie controls in Section 7.
When you submit our form, you agree that we and the builder(s) we match you with may contact you by phone, text (SMS), and email about your project — including by automated technology — at the number and email you provide. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. You can opt out of texts at any time by replying STOP, and you can ask us to stop contacting you using the details in Section 10. Honoring an opt-out may not immediately reach a third-party builder you were already introduced to; contact them directly to opt out of their messages.
We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functionality, analytics, and advertising (Section 5). You can control or block cookies through your browser settings, and you can limit interest-based advertising through tools like the DAA and NAI opt-outs. Blocking some cookies may affect how the site works. We honor recognized browser-based opt-out signals, including Global Privacy Control (GPC), as a request to opt out of sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising where applicable.
We keep your information for as long as needed to provide the introduction service, follow up on your inquiry, comply with legal, tax, and recordkeeping obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When we no longer need it, we delete or de-identify it. Builders we've introduced you to retain their own copies under their own policies.
This is a California-focused service, and California residents have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA. Subject to verification and legal exceptions, you have the right to:
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information. To opt out of the sharing of your information for targeted advertising, you can enable Global Privacy Control in your browser, adjust the cookie/ad controls in Sections 5 and 7, or contact us at the email below with the subject line “Do Not Sell or Share.” To exercise any other right, contact us using Section 10. We will verify your request and respond as required by law. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
