My wiife and I had been thinking about building a granny flat in our Los Angeles backyard for my mother-in-law for over a year but had no idea where to even begin. ADU West Coast is absolutely superb, and I recommend them highly. After purchasing a property which had a 2 car garage that I wanted to covert to an ADU, and a ton of work needed on the “main house,” I was faced with the rather daunting task of hiring a construction company. Like me, you’ve probably heard construction horror stories throughout your life, and the thought of undergoing a big project can be scary. I actually discovered ADU West Coast online, and was immediately stuck by their videos and public transparency of their current projects. I contacted their own Cameron Meredith, and decided to give them a go. The project was much more involved than you might think. It included going back and forth with the City of Orange over permits, historical “approvals” for materials, and more. With every “bump in the road” and every step of the way, things went as smoothly as you can possibly imagine. I got almost daily updates, and they were as communicative as possible. …and the job they did? It came out absolutely beautiful. In fact the gentleman that owns the house next door (who is part of the City of Orange’s Chamber of Commerce) told me “Thanks so much for helping raise the worth of my house, and the neighborhood too!” That pretty much says it all. If you’re looking for peace of mind and excellent craftsmanship, look no further!

We recently completed our ADU garage conversion with ADU West Coast. The house is for my mom who was moving down from Sacramento so we were balancing her requests from long distance and our desire to have the house blend in with our current home. Cameron and team were exceptional throught the process and the the project was completed in about 9 months. The actual build did not take long once the permits and drawings were all approved by the city. The actual build was between 4-5 months. The crew, led by their PM, Ruben was also very helpful, giving us ideas and recommedations on how to improve the house. Anytime we found something that needed to be corrected or tweaked they were quick to remedy the issue. We checked out a few ADU companies before deciding on ADU West Coast but found the type of build they offered and their regular communication the right fit for us. Cameron also gave us tours of a few of their projects before we even agreed to sign with them. We would recommend using them, but like any project we do recommend that you are personally involved. Their team was very open to us checking on the progress each day. Also, they were also very good about keeping the exterior clean as much as possible. We've seen other homes where the exterior becomes a dump but Cameron and team were constantly making sure the property didn't become an eyesore while the work was being completed. I would definitely recommend them for your ADU conversion.
