We needed a garage-to-ADU conversion done to start a rental business in my backyard. We researched every possible company in the greater LA area and DWELL was the one that kept coming back as the best. I cannot say enough good things about Gio and the team at DWELL. Their knowledge and design sense is absolutely terrific and they didn't cut a single corner. Plus, they helped me deal with the city of Burbank - a city with so much red rape and over-regulation that a lot of companies won't even build there. We initially started with a different designer that our real estate agent recommended. Big mistake! There were lots of problems with the plans down the road that we needed to fix and we realized we should've just started with DWELL from the very beginning. We are enjoying the transformation of our home thanks to Dwell. From the beginning we appreciated Gio’s ability to see what was possible with our project. We needed someone who could think out of the box to maximize our space and create a more functional home. We got all of that and more with Dwell; two restrooms, a ton of cabinet space throughout the house, more natural light, repairs on a balcony that were long over due, and an updated exterior. We also added a laundry room inside when we couldn’t imagine where it would fit! What made this entire experience seamless was the professional customer service, communication, and a great team on site creating our new space from demolition to finish. Dwell’s designer Chelsea really helped us put everything together, adding warmth with beautiful materials, fixtures, hardware , etc. Gio made sure the process went as smooth as possible and addressed any and all issues as they come up. Always making sure we were ok with the process and outcome. The office staff returned our calls and answered our questions right away. Overall, we had great experience. This is our third contractor and the ONLY review we’ve written. We look forward to working with Dwell on future projects.

My ADU project became something I’m honestly proud of, and a lot of that came from how Giovanni handled everything. From the first day he stepped on the property, he made me feel like the project was actually in good hands. He checked in often, answered my questions without making me feel like I was bothering him, and paid attention to the little things that usually get overlooked. The space came together in a way that feels warm and really well planned out. Looking back, the whole experience felt smoother than I expected and the communication made a big difference. I’m glad Giovanni was the one guiding the project because the ADU came out even better than what I imagined.

Our ADU project with Giovanni as the project manager was a great experience. From the beginning, he was attentive to what we needed and made sure the design fit our vision and budget. Giovanni kept everything organized and was always available to answer questions, which gave us peace of mind throughout the process. The crew worked efficiently and paid attention to detail, and Giovanni’s communication kept the project running smoothly. The finished ADU turned out even better than we hoped it’s well built, comfortable, and exactly what we had envisioned.

Dwell recently completed a floor re-do project for us and the entire process was fabulous. We ended up with Dwell because the flooring companies we contacted first didn't want to touch our project - we have a 1940s house that had several different types of flooring in different rooms that were added throughout its years, including a terrible tile floor in the kitchen with a pretty serious slope and original wood flooring in our living room that was warped and damaged. Giovanni and his team were not deterred. Giovanni was open and honest with us from the beginning about what he thought they could do to fix the slope - he even brought his floor guy out to look before giving us a quote. Giovanni's pricing was competitive and transparent. We decided to go with luxury vinyl plank, since we have a big dog and messy little kids running through the house on a regular basis, and Giovanni brought a bunch of samples for us to see. He even had a full box of planks delivered to our house and encouraged us to lay the planks out in different rooms to make sure we liked the color and design of the plank. We really appreciated his help in picking out the right floor for us. Giovanni also encouraged us to do a cleaner/simpler style of baseboards and casings. The project itself was handled so well. The team was fast, courteous, and cleaned up each day, even though we weren't staying on site. Our project manager Oran was organized and always in communication with us throughout. He provided us with multiple updates each day, including texting us pictures of the progress. The team finished up 5 days earlier than anticipated, which was amazing, and we couldn't be happier with the finished product. Dwell managed to level out our crazy floors, with an incredible attention to detail, and the new baseboards and casings have really updated the look of our house. The new floors are beautiful! I highly recommend contacting Dwell for any renovation - and we plan on using them again in the future.
